Knot Just Jigs
Knot

Trilobite

A wide, ridged pattern that looks considerably harder than it is. Popular for statement bracelets and for wide collars.

Material use

roughly 45 cm per finished centimetre.

Tying it

  1. Set two cores at the full width of the finished piece.
  2. Work a loop over both cores, then bring the second strand through it.
  3. Pull the segment flat before tightening, so the ridge sits square.
  4. Alternate direction each segment to keep the piece straight.

Notes

Width is set by the spacing of the cores, so the same knot can produce a slim band or a broad cuff.
