Solomon and its variations
Solomon is the same family as the cobra, worked with variations in the crossing that change the face of the braid.
Material use
between 30 and 60 cm per finished centimetre depending on the variation.
Tying it
- Tie the base pattern until the rhythm is automatic.
- For a belly bar, add a second cord that runs down the centre and is caught by each knot.
- For the cynical version, reverse the crossing every second knot.
- For the wide version, add cores rather than knots.
Notes
The variations all use the same hand movements, which makes this family the fastest route from one pattern to five.
