Knot Just Jigs
Material

425 paracord, type II

Three millimetres, three inner strands. A quieter cord that gives a finer weave without dropping to jewellery scale.

Why it exists

425 is the sensible middle. It knots more tightly than 550, so patterns with many crossings stay defined instead of turning into a solid block, and the finished piece is noticeably lighter.

Typical use

Mixing sizes

Mixing 550 and 425 in one piece works if the thinner cord takes the detail and the thicker one the structure. Mixing them within the same knot rarely looks deliberate.
